Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin announced this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The enemy, taking advantage of the declared truce, continues to regroup its units, including those located near the line of contact.
In its report on January 4, the OSCE mission noted the absence of 12 self-propelled howitzers of 122 mm Gvozdika caliber in the areas where Ukrainian heavy equipment was withdrawn. There is no doubt that this and other heavy artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is currently located near the demarcation line and is reliably hidden until the offensive planned by the ATO command.
Judging by the analysis of the main movements, convoys of vehicles and armored vehicles, as well as changes in logistics in the supply of materiel to formations and units, we can conclude that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for possible active provocative actions in the Mariupol direction.
So, according to our intelligence, the 93rd is planned to arrive by mid-January separate mechanized brigade in fact, it is going to strengthen the 28th already located in the area of the Volnovakha settlement separate mechanized brigade.
In addition, in the area of the settlement of Mariupol, in the area of responsibility of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade the enemy has intensified aerial reconnaissance using UAVs and reconnaissance teams.
We appeal to the international observers of the OSCE SMM with an urgent request to pay attention to the active movement of a large number of strike weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the contact line. The stability of the situation and the preservation of the declared truce depend on your objective and decisive actions,” said Eduard Basurin.
