The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for twenty exercises in 2019
In 2019, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take part in twenty exercises outside of Ukraine and six multinational exercises in the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Deputy Head of the Main Training Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Podolyan during a briefing on the results of troop training in 2018, the press service of the General Staff reports.
“As part of international cooperation, our units will participate in six multinational exercises on the territory of Ukraine, the main of which will be Rapid Trident 2019, Sea Breeze 2019, Maple Arch 2019, Riveraina 2019 and twenty exercises outside Ukraine,” Podolyan noted.
In the 2019 academic year, it is also planned to conduct about 250 operational training events and about 2 thousand main events (command post exercises, tactical exercises, tactical flight exercises). In addition, more than 200 centralized training events for brigade and unit headquarters in higher military educational institutions.
In addition, according to the department, during 2018, the training material and technical base of Ukrainian military personnel was replenished with 20 obstacle courses built according to NATO standards. In addition, 25 dynamic simulators, about three thousand elements of testing equipment, etc. were purchased and supplied.
“Seven sets of combat simulation simulations, four sets of LASERTAG and three sets of airsoft equipment have been purchased and installed,” said a representative of the General Staff.
