The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for a counter-offensive and asked Ukrainians to become deaf and dumb
The armed forces have begun new large-scale military exercises “Cossack Will-2018”, which will take place from September 25 to 29. However, Ukrainians were warned not to use unmanned aerial vehicles in the relevant areas and not to be near military columns, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military notes that the main goal of the exercises is to increase the capabilities of military command and control bodies during the conduct of defensive operations by troops, as well as planning and conducting a counterattack operation. Structural units of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, military command and control bodies and management of other military formations and law enforcement agencies were involved in the exercises.
At the same time, the military warned the civilian population not to film or photograph military equipment and not to enter military installations.
“We also inform you that in the area of the exercises, over military units, facilities and training grounds, all unmanned aerial vehicles noticed will be shot down. The persons who launched or controlled these UAVs will be detained and brought to justice. We warn against provocative actions near military units and columns of military equipment, and also appeal to all concerned citizens to report suspicious persons and their actions to law enforcement agencies,” the General Staff said in a statement.
In May, the headquarters of the Joint Forces already appealed to the media and bloggers with a request to refrain from disseminating information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which could lead to the death of Ukrainian military personnel. The command notes that the Ukrainian army is carrying out tasks to improve the tactical position of the troops, and an information leak could cost the lives of the military.
The other day, the Ground Forces held live firing, according to the results of which the best among all military units were the artillerymen of the 55th separate artillery brigade “Zaporozhye Sich” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reports the press service of the Ukrainian army.
