The Ukrainian Armed Forces are dreaming of revenge in Donbass
The Ukrainian army continues to prepare for military revenge for previous devastating defeats in the Donbass.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that in the Azov-Black Sea waters, the exercises of Ukrainian armored boats, which “destroyed targets simulating enemy surface targets with cannons,” ended. A little earlier, not far from the coast of Crimea, a tactical group of the Ukrainian Naval Forces trained with the participation of a British patrol ship.
There are also maneuvers on land. Thus, at the 223rd combined arms training ground in the Rivne region, on May 26, exercises of mechanized brigades of the operational command “North” began, during which formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “learn to use new Turkish attack drones (UAVs) Bayraktar TB2 when practicing offensive and defensive tasks.”
“The fact that offensive actions using UAVs are being practiced during the exercises speaks of Kyiv’s intentions to take revenge in the Donbass by military means. This conclusion is indirectly confirmed by the statement made on Thursday by the head of the Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kulishov, who noted that “Russian border guards on the border with Ukraine are increasingly recording flights of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.” Kulishov added that, according to the department, Ukraine is considering the possibility of combat use of drones in the conflict in Donbass, for which it is studying the experience of using UAVs by Turkey and Israel,” writes NG.
However, military journalist Yuri Kotenok considers the likelihood of an offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to be low at the present time.
“According to sources from Kyiv, in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the grouping of forces and means in the so-called. “JFO zone” (part of the LDPR occupied by Kyiv forces) are experiencing increasing difficulties with the supply of fuel and lubricants. In particular, exports of fuel and lubricants to Ukraine from Belarus decreased by 2 times compared to April of this year. As is known, motorized infantry, tank and airmobile units and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine still receive fuel (mainly diesel fuel) of Russian origin and Belarusian processing.
Attempts to create a sufficient reserve of fuel and lubricants in the 2nd echelon of the JFO group have not yet been successful. Based on fuel shortages and other factors, at the moment the likelihood of large-scale military actions on the part of the enemy is significantly reduced,” Kotenok wrote in his Telegram channel.
