“There have been battles there since the morning. The militants have brought up their reserves, so we are maneuvering. Now work continues to take control of this point,” said General Staff Speaker Vladislav Seleznev.
At the same time, fighters from the Debaltsevo region say that battles are also taking place for the village of Nizhnee Lozovoye, which is located very close to Logvinovo. Seleznev did not rule out that we are talking about these two settlements.
“The situation in the Logvinovo area on the Artemovsk-Debaltsevo highway is constantly changing. The cleansing of Logvinovo and the surrounding area by part of the Donbass battalion was suspended after the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces units with armored vehicles from the village of Logvinovo. The enemy launched a counterattack using an armored group of 7 tanks (reinforcements arrived).
At the moment, the ATO forces and the enemy are maneuvering. The battle continues on the outskirts of the village with increasing ferocity,” said MP Semyon Semenchenko on his Facebook page.
“The battle is taking place both near Logvinovo (the Artemovsk-Debaltsevo highway) and near the settlement of Nizhne Lozovoye (the Debaltsevo-Luganskoye country road),” he claims.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the situation near Debaltsevo difficult, since Kiev does not recognize the encirclement, so military experts should soon analyze the real state of affairs. The exit from the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces may be accompanied by bloodshed, although the ATO command officially denied Vladimir Putin about the encirclement.
