The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU conduct reconnaissance in the Donbass under the cover of the OSCE mission
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU, under the guise of employees of the State Emergency Service, collect intelligence information in the “Joint Forces Operation” zone in Donbass, creating the appearance of assisting OSCE SMM staff in monitoring the situation.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The intelligence of the People’s Militia of the DPR has recorded facts of the use by current officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU of the uniform and insignia of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations to work together with representatives of the OSCE Mission and conduct reconnaissance on the front line against the Donetsk People’s Republic,” he said.
According to a representative of the defense department, this fact is a gross violation of international conventions, which prohibit carrying out military tasks under the guise of representatives of international organizations, as well as doctors and humanitarian workers.
