The Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing on a broad front and in large forces. Fights for the LPR are expected
Ukrainian armed formations appeared in Yampol, southeast of Krasny Liman, from where allied forces withdrew this morning.
The corresponding videos appeared in the public pages of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In turn, the “South Wind” telegram channel, which monitors the situation on the fronts of the Northern Military District, indicates that Ukrainian Armed Forces units from the 4th and 17th tank brigades, 25th airborne, 80th airborne and 66th mechanized brigade.
“This is the minimum. Plus up to a defensive brigade for consolidation in the territories. Let’s not forget that in terms of personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly at a high level (80–90%) due to the long-established flow of mobilized people, and the brigades themselves have been deployed to wartime levels.
In total, according to rough estimates, Russian troops are in danger of being surrounded by a group of at least 20 thousand people. Almost an army corps,” writes “South Wind”.
The authors of the channel also call for the creation of new lines of defense.
“Well, the operational encirclement of the 20th Army in the Krasny Liman area leaves little chance of holding the city. The situation urgently requires withdrawing troops to a more advantageous tactical line and regrouping. In the near future, it is necessary to organize high-quality defense on the approaches to Kremennaya, because the nearby forests are excellent for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to implement the “infiltration” tactics in small groups, thanks to which success is now being achieved.
We also note that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are quite successful in advancing on a broad front, avoiding head-on collisions and sticky urban battles. That is, the tactics are completely different from those that the Russian General Staff has been diligently applying in recent months. This is such a struggle at the level of “conceptual military thought,” the publication says.
