Air defense units of the LPR People's Militia destroyed four Ukrainian drones in one day, as a result of which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to stop shelling the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the defense department of the Republic, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Thanks to the coordinated actions of the air defense units of the People's Militia of the LPR, yesterday 4 UAVs of the armed formations of Ukraine were shot down, which were conducting reconnaissance and fire adjustments in populated areas of the Republic: “Phantom-4” - in the area of the settlement of Kalinovka, “Spectrum” - in in the area of the village of Vesnyanoye, “Mavic pro” - in the area of the village of Kalinovo and a UAV of the “Wing” type - in the area of the village of Donetsk,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
According to his information, having lost the opportunity to adjust the fire, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped firing, and after 15:00 the shelling of the positions of the People’s Militia and populated areas of the Republic stopped. It is also noted that there has been no shelling since the beginning of the current day.
