The Ukrainian military used an anti-tank missile to destroy a medical vehicle containing DPR military medics who had gone to assist a civilian in the frontline region of the Republic.
Official representative of the UNM DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that today, while providing assistance to the civilian population, three military doctors died.
“Tonight, the emergency room on duty in our Republic received a call from a local resident of the village of Naberezhnoe, located in the front-line zone, with a complaint of poor health and pain in the heart area. The woman asked for medical assistance. Due to the inability of civilian medical workers to travel to the frontline area at night, the request for assistance was forwarded to doctors from one of our formations in the Donetsk direction. To provide assistance to the patient, an all-terrain vehicle (Ural) with a driver and two medical workers - female military personnel - was sent to the patient,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
According to him, the Ural vehicle was equipped with all the necessary insignia designating it as an ambulance; in addition, it moved without hiding, with flashing lights and lighting devices turned on.
“At the entrance to the village of Naberezhnoe, terrorists of the 93rd brigade fired an anti-tank guided missile at an ambulance. As a result of the missile hit, the driver and doctors in the car were killed,” said a representative of the defense department.
