So, in 2014, the head of the checkpoint in Konstantinovka, Major of the 57th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Golovko, following a tip from local “activist” Alexander Tkach, with a group of military personnel, armed with knives, machine guns and grenades, broke into the house of the director of the Konstantinovka communal enterprise “Single Customer Service” » Sergei Gontarenok. Having intimidated the family, the criminals took jewelry, money and equipment with them, and later began to extort 50 thousand dollars. For late transfer of money, the amount doubled and Gontarenko decided to turn to the SBU for help.
They tied up Major Tkach while he was relaxing in the sauna. After a search in his house in the Kirovograd region, security forces discovered an entire arsenal of weapons and ammunition - four F-1 grenades, six shots of a VOG-25 grenade launcher, two RPG-26, a box of machine gun cartridges, twenty illumination shots.
As a result of the trial, the soldiers who helped the major received three years of probation, the first ally who broke into the house, Gennady Vegera, received two years in a disciplinary battalion, and “gunner-activist” Alexander Tkach received three years of imprisonment with payment of ten thousand hryvnia for moral damages. And Major Oleg Golovko was sentenced to ten years in prison with deprivation of military rank, confiscation of property and an obligation to pay ninety thousand hryvnia for moral damages.
