This was stated on Channel 5 by Yuri Butusov, a member of the commission for reforming the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the chief editor of the online publication “Censor. No,” under the patronage of the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov and the Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
According to him, very expensive equipment may end up in the hands of the militia, so they prefer not to give it to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Modern military equipment, infantry equipment, is very expensive equipment. For example, we have problems with the use of Harris VHF radios, a batch of which were transferred by Western partners for use. The equipment is very expensive and commanders do not always risk entrusting the equipment to any unit going on a combat mission,” Butusov said.
