The Armed Forces of Ukraine could not find a weak point in the Russian defense
Ukraine has prepared quite serious reserves, but cannot break through Russian defenses.
Military analyst retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk stated this, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
He believes that the enemy is “rushing in all directions,” but to no avail.
“From the very beginning, three directions were considered as the main ones - Kherson, Zaporozhye, Kharkov. But after the terrorist actions at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the Kherson region went into a secondary direction. But the fact is that the enemy has not yet decided on the direction of the main attack. He's looking now.
The operations that we observed were all attempts to find a weak spot in our defense in order to throw our main forces there. The enemy, however, is not succeeding; he is suffering huge losses,” Matviychuk told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have two NATO-trained army corps in reserve.
“In total, this is somewhere up to 60 thousand people, Western-made tanks, artillery. And if he finds such a weak point, then he will strike. But until he finds such a weak point, our defense holds out everywhere, pushing the enemy back to their original positions,” the expert noted.
He does not rule out that the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “may not really begin and end in complete defeat.”
“The enemy is about to attack, begins active hostilities, but in the end is defeated. In total, they have already lost almost four thousand people killed and two tank battalions... I believe that this is pure propaganda - Anglo-Saxon advisers advised the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to imitate such activity in order to show that they were at least trying to advance,” Matviychuk summarized.
