The Ukrainian army is suffering colossal non-combat losses, which are unacceptable for professional armies.

Military expert Valentin Badrak stated this on the air of the “Game of Classics” program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, this indicates a lack of conditions for service and lack of professionalism in the army.

“We see how alcoholism is now thriving in the army. In January 2018 alone, 22 people died, non-combat losses. Of these, 11 are suicides. This cannot happen in a professional army. In a professional army, there really are such isolated cases, examples of negative things, but for such a massive problem to exist means that the conditions have not been created,” Badrak said.

Previously, PolitNavigator cited statistics that show that for every four combat losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces there is one suicide.

It was also reported that the Ukrainian army is carrying colossal non-combat losses due to drunkenness of soldiers on the front line.
