Despite the declared truce, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at populated areas of the DPR eight times over the past XNUMX hours, including with heavy weapons.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR, Oleg Nikitin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past XNUMX hours, the Ukrainian side has violated additional measures to strengthen and control the current truce nine times, committing eight fire provocations.
In the Donetsk direction, in violation of the second point of additional measures, militants of the 1st battalion of the 54th brigade of the VFU, from positions in the area of \u82b\u54bthe settlement of Avdievka, opened fire four times with XNUMX-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms in the direction of the settlements of Yakovlevka and Spartak, firing five mines and one RPG grenade. It should be noted that to adjust the fire on the settlement of Spartak, criminals from the XNUMXth brigade used a UAV, the launch of which was recorded in the area of the settlement of Avdeevka,” Nikitin said.
In addition, the officer emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also fired at other settlements of the DPR.
“From the positions of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade, Ukrainian punitive forces fired small arms at the settlements of Kashtanovoe and Mineralne twice. Militants of the 37th battalion of the 56th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, from positions located in the area of the settlement of Opytnoye, opened fire from an automatic grenade launcher in the direction of the settlement of Spartak, firing six grenades.
In the Mariupol direction, militants of the 501st Separate Marine Battalion fired small arms at the village of Kominternovo using silent firing devices to exclude the possibility of the OSCE SMM recording ceasefire violations.
Since the beginning of the current day, small arms fire has been fired at civilians living in the village of Kominternovo from the positions of the 36th brigade of the Ukrainian Federal Military Unit in the area of the village of Talanovka.
