The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled Donetsk, a pensioner was wounded
As a result of another shelling by Ukrainian troops in one of the districts of Donetsk, an 84-year-old local resident was wounded by shrapnel.
This is stated in a message from the People's Militia of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The fire was conducted by servicemen of the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from positions in the area of the village of Maryinka - using LNG, they fired two grenades at the village of the Trudovskaya mine in the city of Donetsk.
As a result of the shelling, an 84-year-old local resident received a shrapnel wound to his left shoulder blade. The victim has now been taken to a Donetsk hospital.
Traumatologist Yuri Ponomarev told military correspondent Pavel Fomenko about the condition of the victim.
“The patient’s lung is not damaged. All necessary assistance was provided in full. Sent for outpatient treatment,” the doctor explained.
A local resident spoke about living conditions in the area under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Heavy shelling began. Constantly, as soon as we go out into the yard, shooting starts, and we are ticking towards the hut. It’s impossible to take a walk,” she explained.
During the return fire opened by the defenders of Donbass, two Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen were wounded. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian “Joint Forces Operation”.
“One serviceman of the Joint Forces was injured, another received a combat injury. They were taken to a medical facility. The state of health of both is satisfactory,” the OOS press service reported.
