The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired heavy artillery at uncontrolled nationalists
The Ukrainian Armed Forces for the first time used heavy artillery against illegal armed groups of nationalists in the zone of the so-called Joint Forces Operation (JFO).
This statement was made during a briefing by the official representative of the People's Militia Department (UNM) of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, artillerymen of the 36th separate marine brigade fired at the positions of units of the Azov and Right Sector regiments in the area of the village of Lebedinskoye. As a result, three punishers were killed and five more were injured. In turn, the command of the operation headquarters of the occupying forces, trying to evade responsibility for what they had done, blamed our units for the shelling,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
The DPR UNM is confident that this provocation was carried out immediately after the joint conference of JFO commander Sergei Naev and the leader of the National Movement Dmitry Yarosh, which indicates its planned nature.
“During the conference, issues of serving nationalists in the Armed Forces of Ukraine subject to the conclusion of a contract were discussed. Thus, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, by launching artillery shelling of the positions of the nationalists, had the goal of speeding up the decision to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or to withdraw units from the zone of the punitive operation,” Bezsonov said.
On July 10, JFO commander Sergei Naev gave the order to withdraw armed nationalist organizations, including the Right Sector DUK and representatives of volunteer organizations from the operation zone.
