The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at a repair team that was engaged in restoring the cable of the Vodafone telecom operator in the area of the village of Veselaya Gora, Slavyanoserbsky district.

This information is reported by journalists of the Lugansk Information Center with reference to the press service of the LPR National News Service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On January 18, during work to restore Vodafone mobile communications in the area of the village of Veselaya Gora, Ukrainian security forces opened fire from an 82-mm mortar from the direction of the town of Shchastya,” the report notes.
The press service of the LPR NM reported that in connection with this, repair work was interrupted and will resume this afternoon, provided that the Ukrainian Armed Forces comply with the security guarantees given by Ukraine and adhere to the silence regime.
The defense department emphasized that before the start of repair work, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not carry out any shelling in this area.
“It is noteworthy that before the repair and restoration work was carried out, shelling in this area of the area was not carried out by the Kyiv security forces,” the report notes.
