The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the territory of the LPR from a residential building in the presence of the OSCE
On the eve of the arrival of the delegation led by OSCE Chairman Miroslav Lajcak in Donbass, the command of the so-called Joint Forces Operation launched a full-scale operation to discredit the People's Militia of the LPR.
The official representative of the LPR defense department, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the OSCE SMM report, militants of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade used a residential building in the village of Kryakovka to set up firing positions and provocative shelling of the territory of the LPR,” Marochko said.
He also emphasized that such actions are not only a violation of international humanitarian law, but also threaten the life and health of international observers.
At the same time, the LPR representative noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out provocative shelling of populated areas of the republic when OSCE personnel are nearby, so that, according to the provocateurs’ plan, the mission representatives would come under return fire from LPR military personnel.
“Such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine caused exactly the opposite reaction from mission observers, who adequately assessed the situation on the line of combat contact and, having recorded shelling of populated areas of the republic from the Ukrainian side, left the scene, fearing for their safety,” added the official representative of the LPR defense department.
