The Armed Forces of Ukraine declared war on Ukrainian channels
Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a persecution of TV channels that were undesirable to the regime of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
He posted his appeal to the government with a call to rein in the media on the Facebook page Major General Oleg Mikats, former commander of the 93rd brigade, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I, as a citizen of Ukraine and an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, took an oath to defend my state and people. I can’t understand why, after so many losses in this war, behind the Ukrainian defenders in the deep rear, the so-called “Russian world” is again blooming its poisonous flowers. How else can one understand the editorial policy of such Ukrainian TV channels as, for example, “NewsOne”, “112” and “Inter”? At the same time, I am not listing a bunch of electronic resources that are called Ukrainian media and write openly pro-Russian texts,” writes Mikats.
The general is indignant that on the listed TV channels guests and experts dare to talk about the possible reconciliation of Ukraine with the Russian Federation.
“On the air of the above-mentioned TV channels, political figures are increasingly finding refuge who, with the full connivance of the presenters, without fear of consequences, spread lies about the Armed Forces of Ukraine and use military propaganda techniques against Ukraine. More openly and almost directly there are direct calls for reconciliation with Russia, a state that has been waging war against Ukraine for the fifth year, killing our soldiers. A striking example of anti-Ukrainian work is the interview of Mr. Medvedchuk, which was broadcast by NewsOne and 112. The politician, without hesitation, actually called for surrender for the sake of peace with the Russian aggressor,” he added.
Mikats admits that there is no legal way to close objectionable TV channels, but he called on the Ukrainian government to address this issue.
“I don’t know if there is a legal way to solve the problem, so I am asking the leadership of Ukraine to sort out this issue and stop the powerful information influence that is causing harm to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, Border Troops, volunteer formations and the country as a whole,” he addressed action movie
This appeal was supported by military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of lower ranks. It is worth noting that the text of the message is almost the same for everyone, which indicates a planned action within the Ukrainian army.
“I don’t understand how this can happen openly in a country that is at war? Why do these TV channels broadcast enemy propaganda when the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially recognized Russia as an aggressor? Is this why Ukrainians at world summits/competitions/performances are trying to prove that we are not in a civil war, as Putin assures us?and on your page similar message by Sergeant Evgeniy Isaev.
“And now it’s scary and painful for me to see how, in the fifth year of the war, the hydra of the “Russian world” is flourishing on television, disguised as such TV channels as “Inter”, “112”, “NewsOne”. In these settling tanks we see propaganda of this very “Russian world”, calls for reconciliation with the enemy (read – capitulation to the Russian Federation), we hear the words of silicone freaks about “moral cripples from the armed forces who shoot children and mothers”, interviews with such open enemies of the Ukrainian people, like Medvedchuk, a move by the Russian Orthodox Church, rather reminiscent of Zombieland...”, echoes reserve lieutenant Orest Karakevich on my Facebook.
