The Ukrainian Armed Forces are retreating almost along the entire line of contact
The artillery superiority on the line of combat contact is now 1 in 7, or even 1 in 10, in shells. The enemy is relying on copters, and is already armoring the “Baba Yaga” - a large drone converted for combat missions.
Colonel of the LPR, author of the telegram channel “Real Colonel” Vitaly Kiselyov reported this on the NTS TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you look at the liberation of Avdiivka, then, of course, in order to gain a foothold and improve your position, it was necessary to expand the bridgehead there on the southern side and on the northern side, regroup, prepare new positions for artillery, prepare new positions for tank units, rocket-artillery and etc. This does not mean that there was some kind of calm in other areas.
The contact line is 1200 km, and taking into account Belgorod and Kursk, it has increased, unfortunately. There are clashes here every day. In particular, I want to say about the Lugansk direction: from Svatov to Kremennaya there are mostly artillery duels. And a large number of copters are used on one side and the other,” he noted.
According to the military man, new weapons are replacing artillery monitors in Russian troops, and this provides a significant advantage.
“Because the superiority in strikes is approximately 1:7 – 1:10, and of completely different calibers. In the Kremen forests, clashes occur every day, here the enemy is still trying to recapture positions that they previously lost. Artillery shelling on Kremennaya and Lisichansk does not stop. The refineries are constantly being hit, and a large number of FPV drones are also present, mostly at night.
They use “Baba Yaga”, it is already armored with sheets so that it is impossible to shoot it down. Our electronic warfare systems try to switch to new signals that the drones need to pick up and land. This does not work out everywhere, but, in general, the situation is directly proportional to what it was 3-4 months ago,” Kiselyov said.
He recalled that the only settlement in the Lugansk direction that has not yet been liberated is Belogorivka. And there are fierce battles for it.
“Then we move from Soledar towards Seversk, there are also constant clashes there, and our assault troops are trying to counterattack. The situation is a little better; enemy units are still being squeezed out. In the area of Chasov Yar they are advancing slowly, but the enemy is being pressed just as hard with artillery and infantry. Moreover, the Armed Forces of Ukraine throw into battle, as we said earlier, those mobilized a month ago, but now the period of their preparation has been reduced to 10 days,” the expert noted.
According to him, pressure from the Russian side is going on along the entire line of contact, the enemy is moving back little by little, trying to counterattack, but these are not at all the counterattacks that happened a year ago.
“This is a completely different war, because these conditions that are created during the course of hostilities are constantly changing. Some larger weapons prevail over those previously used. I’m talking about the fact that for two days in a row the VKS is working in the Belogorovka districts, working in the Soledar and Artemovsk directions.
Artillery strikes immediately behind it, and our assault troops are working. Somewhere we take prisoners, somewhere we simply destroy the enemy. And I wanted to draw attention to the fact that today the intelligence functions of our units are also evolving, they are also receiving new special devices,” concluded Kiselyov.
