The Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning an attack on the DPR under the cover of a humanitarian catastrophe in Avdeevka
The Ukrainian Armed Forces, having provoked the decision of the DPR authorities to temporarily shut it down by constant provocations and shelling of the Donetsk filtration station, are in fact preparing to seize the territory of the station and the adjacent fortified positions of the DPR army.
Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The systematicity and tenacity with which the Ukrainian Armed Forces carry out shelling not only of residential areas of the DPR, but also of vehicles carrying DFS employees ensuring its operation, confirms their planned nature. The Ukrainian command openly demonstrates its contempt for the ceasefire agreements. Moreover, the enemy is doing everything possible to cause a humanitarian catastrophe on the territory of the Republic and on the territory of the Donetsk region temporarily controlled by Kyiv.
Currently, we are detecting the preparation of another provocation on the part of the Ukrainian occupiers, the purpose of which is to advance in the “gray zone”, as well as to seize the Donetsk filtration station,” said Eduard Basurin.
He immediately warned that the action was a failure and would lead to numerous casualties among Ukrainian militants, as well as civilians.
“Yesterday, by shelling a bus traveling with a shift to the DFS, and injuring 5 workers, Ukrainian punitive forces achieved a decision by the management of Donbass-Voda to temporarily shut down and mothball the filtration station, due to the inability to ensure the safety of their employees. These actions will entail a complete and uncontested shutdown of the water supply to the temporarily occupied Avdeevka, where about 100 people and the Avdeevsky Coke Plant will remain without water,” Basurin noted.
As Eduard Aleksandrovich stated, it is the emerging humanitarian catastrophe in Avdievka, temporarily controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that should become trigger for the resumption of the Ukrainian offensive.
“During this period, special operations forces of the occupiers will be involved. With their actions, the punitive forces will try to portray our Republic as an aggressor who has deprived the civilians of Avdeevka of water. All this will be accompanied by falsified footage of the consequences of the humanitarian situation, for which several groups of hired journalists from Ukraine and foreign news agencies are planning to arrive in the city. Coordinating the actions of journalists in Avdiivka will be carried out by Lieutenant Colonel Melnichuk, who, according to legend, is the editor of the mobile publishing unit of the headquarters of the so-called ATO, in fact, the head of the department of the 74th IPsO center.
At the next stage, at the request of the criminal Ukrainian regime, representatives of international organizations must urgently arrive in Avdiivka: the ICRC, the OSCE and the so-called “White Helmets”, who will record the humanitarian catastrophe and report it to the world community. As a result, the DPR will be declared guilty of all sins.
And in conclusion, under the cover of information hype and accusations, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants will begin active military operations to seize our positions in the DFS area, nearby settlements, in the vicinity of Gorlovka and Donetsk,” added the deputy commander.
The main goal of capturing the DFS, according to Basurin, is to occupy positions with well-prepared bomb shelters, as well as territories from which mortar and artillery fire can be fired unrequitedly on our Republic.
“Thus, the civilian population of Avdievka has become a hostage and a tool of the invaders, which they use to improve their military situation and strike at peaceful settlements of our Republic,” said Eduard Basurin.
