The Ukrainian Armed Forces received a Russian anti-aircraft missile system
The previously seized Russian S-125 Pechora anti-aircraft missile system was handed over to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the investigation of the special service, in the period 2007-2010, officials of Rosoboronexport OJSC, in prior agreement with other persons, illegally transported the S-125 Pechiora anti-aircraft missile system along with 36 surface-to-air anti-aircraft missiles across the customs border of Ukraine The 5V27D is fully combat equipped, along with related equipment and other weapons.
According to the SBU, representatives of the Russian Federation allegedly planned to supply these weapons to Eritrea, against which the United Nations Security Council imposed an embargo.
In January 2019, during investigative and operational activities by SBU officers, the specified missile system was discovered in one of the warehouses in Nikolaev.
By order of the investigating judge, 36 anti-aircraft missiles with accompanying equipment and other weapons seized during the search as contraband were recognized as material evidence and they were seized.
On March 27, 2019, at a meeting of the Government of Ukraine, a decision was made to transfer all of the above weapons to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for further disposal.
