The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 1000 tanks
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite their numbers, are far from the most combat-ready structure.
Komsomolskaya Pravda writes about this, pointing out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have 2800 tanks, which is more than Germany, France и UK together.
“But almost all of them are old Soviet heritage, only 20-30% are in combat-ready condition (although repair work is in full swing). It’s interesting that before the war in Donbass, Ukraine had 1000 more tanks. Has she really lost so much in battle? Or are the words of the military from the DPR and LPR that almost all the armored vehicles of the people's republics are trophies taken in battle not an empty phrase? Judging by the numbers (see table), it seems to be true,” the publication notes.
The publication also draws attention to the fact that only a quarter of the aircraft and helicopters in the Ukrainian Air Force are combat ready.
“And the same words can be said about the fleet - all large ships Navy Ukraine - worn out Soviet junk. Among the new ones are 2 Gyurza boats and 13 American inflatable boats. 2 more old boats USA handed over to Kyiv recently,” the newspaper writes.
