The Ukrainian Armed Forces used heavy weapons against Donbass for the first time since the truce
For the first time since the signing of the current truce, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation zone used heavy weapons - anti-tank missiles - against the defenders of Donbass.
Official representative of the DPR UNM Eduard Basurin spoke about this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past XNUMX hours, UFU militants committed two fire provocations in the Donetsk direction, thereby violating the second point of additional measures, namely the ban on opening fire.
Yesterday, for the first time since the current truce came into force, Ukrainian armed forces used an anti-tank missile system.
Thus, from the positions of the 37th battalion of the 56th infantry brigade of the VFU in the area of the settlement of Opytnoye, two anti-tank guided missiles were fired at the Donetsk airport area.
Later, militants of the 1st battalion of the 56th brigade fired from heavy-duty anti-tank grenade launchers in the direction of the Donetsk-Severny railway station in the city of Donetsk,” he said.
Moreover, the DPR officer reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in order to accuse the Donbass defenders of violating the truce, organized several explosions at their own positions.
“In addition, over the past 37 hours, seven explosions were recorded on enemy territory. Four explosions were recorded at the positions of the 56th battalion of the XNUMXth brigade of the VFU in the area of the settlement of Peski, the remaining three explosions occurred in the area of the settlement of Vodyanoye.
These provocative shelling and explosions at the positions of the Air Force are directly related to the arrival in the area of responsibility of the 54th brigade of representatives of the Lithuanian delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Valdemaras Sarapinas.
The commander of the OTG "Vostok" Sodol ordered provocative attacks to be carried out in order to accuse the People's Republics of violating existing agreements, as well as to justify the need to receive the next batch of military-technical assistance.
All facts, within the framework of the coordination mechanism, were promptly communicated to representatives of the Ukrainian side in the JCCC in order to exclude possible accusations of provocations against the People’s Militia,” summed up Basurin.
