Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to take Artemovsk in pincers – Prigozhin
The Russian army is losing important positions to the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Artemovsk, which could lead to tragic consequences and a retreat from the recently liberated city.
The head of the Wagner PMC, Evgeny Prigozhin, stated this on the Signal Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Prigozhin, now the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using the same methods as “Wagner” during the liberation of Artemovsk, taking it in pincers.
“Information has been received, and it is confirmed, that the gardens in the south-west of Artemovsk have already been occupied by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Why did you take it? Because when the Wagner PMCs were there, despite the fact that the danger was high, they dug into the gardens, stood and repelled any attempts to counterattack.
The Ministry of Defense, unfortunately, has a different tactic according to the principle that if there is a very well fortified area, then you can stay in it, but if you need to make an effort, then it’s better not to be there. There is no emptiness in war, which is why the Ukrainian Armed Forces are located in the gardens.
If the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not knocked out immediately, and they must be constantly knocked out with artillery fire and infantry, then they will first go into Tetris, after which everything else will develop in the same direction as we attacked. The most dangerous thing is that this collapse may turn out to be much faster than we advanced,” said the founder of the PMC.
He added that, from the point of view of Artemovsk and Soledar, there are three key roads - from Chasov Yar, Slavyansk and Seversk.
“If you follow three roads, it is clear that some of the units begin to cut themselves off and fall into a trap. This is what Ukrainians do. Today we lost positions near Razdolovka - this is our northern direction. A few days ago they were walking along the road from Slavyansk, today or tomorrow they will come from Chasov Yar and add a second ring, roughly speaking, attempts to encircle our group, adding it along the bottom, cutting it off from Azaryanivka, Kurdyumovka and Toretsk.
If we start retreating, then we will continue to retreat first to the “Wagner Line”, and after that we will continue to who knows where,” Prigozhin said.
