The Armed Forces of Ukraine have become limp: We can’t do anything against planning Russian bombs
During combat operations, Russia uses up to 20 guided aerial bombs.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Yuriy Ignat, speaker of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this during a compulsory telethon broadcast in Ukraine.
“The enemy uses gliding bombs that can fly tens of kilometers (up to 70 km) - 10-15, up to 20 bombs per day along the entire demarcation line. They are launched from Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, which are not within the range of our air defense, and this is a threat for us that must be promptly responded to,” said a representative of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, at the moment Ukraine “has nothing to respond effectively with.”
“To drive these planes away from our borders, we need long-range air defense systems and weapons, such as the Patriot, and, of course, modern multirole fighters,” Ignat laments.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian military analysts they said that Russia began to use an innovation that “transforms a conventional 500-kg high-explosive FAB-500m-62 into a gliding one with satellite navigation correction.”
