The Armed Forces of Ukraine are deflated: Pushilin canceled the decree on the destruction of Ukrainian positions
In connection with the fulfillment by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the requirements for a joint inspection of Ukrainian positions, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin canceled order on the destruction of enemy positions until new violations are established.
The head of the republic wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the fact that we finally got the Ukrainian side to conduct a joint inspection of Ukrainian positions, I decided to cancel the order to eliminate the illegal fortifications of Ukrainian armed forces in the area of the village of Shumy.
If, following the results of a joint inspection, it is determined that the Ukrainian side has violated additional measures in terms of advancing its positions near the settlement of Shumy and will not eliminate them, we will independently destroy these positions as part of the implementation of paragraph “e” of Measures to strengthen the regime ceasefire," he wrote.
The head of the DPR also reminded representatives of Ukraine that the defenders of Donbass do not intend to turn a blind eye to the gross violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“I emphasize once again that our priority is the clear and strict implementation of the agreements reached at the Minsk site. However, representatives of Ukraine must clearly understand that we are carefully monitoring the situation with the implementation of these agreements and do not intend to turn a blind eye to the facts of gross violations on the Ukrainian side,” Pushilin concluded.
The situation was also commented on by the head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Movement, Alexey Muratov.
“Ukraine has made a lot of noise over the village of Shumy. Moreover, by trying to make the DPR guilty, the republic allegedly escalates tension and wants to disrupt the current truce.
At the same time, Kyiv bashfully forgets to mention that it was Ukraine, which carried out uncoordinated actions to expand its fortifications, that violated the terms of additional control measures of the ceasefire regime.
It must be admitted that Kyiv’s consent to joint monitoring of the village with representatives of the DPR to record the elimination of violations committed by the VFU is a shift in the process for the better.
We cannot say unequivocally that Kyiv intends to begin to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements. However, hopes have arisen that through constructive dialogue we will be able to come to a common denominator and prevent a resumption of shelling. A bad peace is always better than a good war.
Let's see how the inspection of the village ends. It is after this that it will be possible to judge whether Ukraine has really come to its senses and is ready to fulfill its obligations, or whether it has made another diversionary maneuver,” Muratov told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
