The Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing their most combat-ready people in senseless attacks - Shurygin
In attempts at senseless “counterattacks” on different fronts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing experienced soldiers, whom they miraculously managed to retain since the beginning of the Northern Military District, and those who have just arrived after undergoing training in the West.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
When asked about possible attempts by Ukraine to carry out a “counter-offensive” near Kharkov, the military expert spoke about the deplorable situation in the Ukrainian army as a whole and about the cost of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ adventure near Kherson.
“There is one moment here, any offensive, it is always connected in a chain. If you didn’t succeed here, and you suffered big losses, then in this case, trying again “somewhere” is already difficult. Because first you need to stop and understand what’s going on.
The second point is that a military operation develops, in principle, in a period of 5 to 10 days, depending again on the accumulated reserves. The fourth day has ended. At least, it is already clear that nothing worked out in the southern direction. Now they can, of course, try to advance sharply near Kharkov. But, firstly, they see that we have not transferred any reserves there, they have their own reserves there. They see that we didn’t put anything there. That is, they will actually have to fight against our wall.
And in this case, naturally, the readiness of our troops is already the highest. Because we understand that, after all, their nerves could not stand it. We see that they could not stand it - and they left.
It turned out that for them, what, in general, they considered a strong point, was completely nullified here. Firstly, here they need to get out of the trenches and move forward. And this is completely different from sitting in the ground and hiding in dugouts. Secondly, where they previously had air defense, and they could use it, forcing us to go at extremely low levels, here, as soon as they enter the field, it immediately disappears.
Because it must work 24 hours a day, that is, the stations are turned on, they work, and we can work on them completely calmly, as it was at the beginning of the war. You can’t sit in ambush here anymore. Or they turn off the stations, and then your troops in the field, accordingly, are simply ground to pieces,” he noted.
“Accordingly, in this case, you need to understand that the most combat-ready units are now being wasted and erased. Firstly, which were formed from those who studied in the West. The first ones are those who are “navy”, who are eager to fight, who have trained, and they want to come and show. The second is the units from the front that were withdrawn from the front in July, very battered. They were taken to be restocked. They were replenished, rested, and they also went into battle.
As a matter of fact, in order to collect these reserves, Ukraine carried out an absolutely monstrous operation to dispose of its people, when these same Terbatovites were simply driven to slaughter in the thousands, and for the last two months they really, they were simply covered in blood,” the expert said.
At the same time, he added that Russian troops have only strengthened in terms of quality.
“In two months we have reduced our losses by an order of magnitude. Of course, these days are difficult for us too. But the heroism that we saw is, of course, heroism that is worthy of the highest and purest metal,” concluded Shurygin.
