The Armed Forces of Ukraine in the “Joint Forces Operation” zone launched a massive shelling of the DPR using heavy artillery, as a result of which one defender of the republic was killed and another was injured.

“Over the past XNUMX hours, seven violations of the second point of the Set of Additional Measures to Monitor Compliance with the Ceasefire were recorded by Ukrainian militants,” the report says.
The department emphasized that in just the past 122 hours, Ukrainian punitive forces fired eighty 120-mm artillery shells, seventy-six 80-mm and 2-mm mines, and forty rounds from BMP-XNUMX weapons into the territory of the DPR. In total, five settlements were shelled.
“As a result of vile enemy shelling, one of our defenders was killed and one was injured. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and wish the wounded a speedy recovery,” the DPR NM added.
Information about civilian casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure is being clarified.
At the same time, the press service of the LPR NM reported that as a result of Ukrainian shelling carried out from 82-mm mortars and small arms, one serviceman of the Lugansk People's Republic was killed.
“To ensure the safety of the civilian population of the Republic, our defenders were forced to open fire from weapons not prohibited by the Minsk agreements at the enemy positions from which the shooting was conducted,” the department emphasized.
In addition, the LM of the LPR noted that since the beginning of the year, 10 civilians and 16 military personnel of the republic have suffered from the actions of the UFU!
“According to the JCCC of the LPR, from January 1 to July 1, 1 civilian was killed and 9 people were injured of varying degrees of severity due to the actions of the UFU.
During the same period, 12 defenders of the Republic were killed and 4 were injured,” the statement says.
