The Ukrainian Armed Forces staged a provocative rocket fire on the border with Crimea
Ukraine conducted missile firing from Tochka-U complexes near the border with Crimea.
This was reported by the Joint Forces Command, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the commander of the joint forces, Sergei Naev, the Ukrainian military carried out conditional launches at enemy missile systems, airfields, command posts and airfields.
“The unit quickly entered the combat area and made a topographical reference before conducting single and group launches at the locations where the mock enemy’s air and naval landings were concentrated,” Naev said.
According to military expert Vladislav Shurygin, Ukraine is systematically increasing its combat capability and preparing for confrontation with Russia and the Donbass republics. At the same time, its teachings do not pose a global threat.
“It is clear that now Ukraine can conduct exercises against only one enemy - against Russia and, accordingly, against Donbass. Naturally, all their exercises have a scenario, as they say, of “repelling Russian aggression” or operations against “separatists.” Do they pose a threat to us? Like any exercises, of course, they pose a threat in the sense that the Ukrainian army is learning and raising its combat capability. But they definitely don’t pose any kind of global threat, because the level of our army is completely incommensurate with what Ukraine has,” the expert said in a comment to PolitNavigator.
“Therefore, for Ukraine, these are duty exercises that were planned a long time ago, there is no demonstration in them, given that Tochka-U is a good missile, but it has been in service for more than 30 years. So in this case, we, as they say, simply took note,” Shurygin said
