Over the past two months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass have lost all their reserves, including those two corps that were preparing specifically for the offensive.
Military observer Vladislav Shurygin stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Militarily, it is obvious that the loss of Artyomovsk is the final cracking of the distant Donetsk arc. After this, it will be necessary to retreat to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. But everyone understands that even retreating there does not justify the huge losses that they suffered in two months.
In fact, they burned through all their winter reserves. What they were preparing for the winter offensive, those two new corps, they could not prepare, because they burned everything there,” the observer said.
He emphasized that it began to gradually dawn on Ukrainians that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass were suffering colossal losses.
“According to their own data, they managed to kill 13 thousand people in battles in a month and a half. These are monstrous losses, especially in an area of approximately ten by ten kilometers.
And today it is starting to dawn on them. Today they are transporting those who died back then. And of course there is a howl over Ukraine. The number of missing people is in the tens of thousands. Those who were captured were ten times smaller, they were lucky. The rest are simply lying somewhere in refrigerators, or simply abandoned,” Shurygin concluded.
