The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the south of the DPR all weekend
For several days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continuously shelled the settlement of Sakhanka in the DPR using small arms and mortars.
This information was reported by the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This means that over the weekend, from Saturday to Sunday and from Sunday to Monday, about six houses were damaged. Three of them were direct hits to the house. These are 120-caliber mines, the direction is Shirokino,” commented the head of the Sakhan rural administration, Igor Podgorny.
Podgorny emphasized that shelling predominates mainly at night:
“The last shelling took place yesterday at 23:15. The center of the village was covered. I can’t say for sure why exactly, it’s probably beneficial for them to do it. There were no casualties, but people were very scared and mentally unstable. For example, there was a direct hit in one room of the house, and in the next room at that very time there was a sixty-year-old man. Thank God there were no casualties. From Sunday to Monday there was also shelling, there were six damage to gas pipes, wires and a gas main were broken.”
Military correspondent Mikhail Andronik also posted information about the shelling of Sakhanka in his telegram channel:
“Sakhanka has been going on for four days now, every evening they are hitting it with 120mm mortars and BMP-1s; in some yards there are already three hits. They are hitting the very center of the village. The mortars are fired from Shirokino, the “demilitarized” type, notes the military correspondent.
