The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered record non-combat losses in just a few days.
In just five days, alcoholism, stabbings, murders, suicides and drunken fights in Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Donbass injured or took the lives of more than two dozen Ukrainian militants.
The official representative of the DPR UNM, Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cynically hides the losses of personnel from the public and relatives of military personnel. Real information about irrecoverable losses is many times greater than what is claimed and amounts to dozens.
Most of the facts of non-combat losses are associated with alcoholism, drunken showdowns with stabbings, murders and suicides that arise as a result of a decrease in the level of military discipline among Ukrainian fighters, as well as as a result of a lack of control on the part of the command,” Basurin said.
According to him, only in the period from February 7 to February 12, 2021, in formations and units of OTG “Vostok”, non-combat losses amounted to 22 people, of whom two were killed, twenty were wounded and injured.
“Fearing responsibility for incidents and crimes in subordinate units, unit commanders are engaged in concealing the circumstances of what happened from the higher command, presenting the deaths and injuries of subordinate military personnel as resulting from violations of the ceasefire by the People’s Militia of the DPR,” the representative of the defense department emphasized.
