The Ukrainian Armed Forces are overwhelmed by a wave of non-combat losses
In Donbass, during a training exercise, two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another was wounded in a series of accidents.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the LPR People's Militia Department, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During airborne training in units of the 80th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during scheduled training parachute jumps, junior sergeant Herkalo died due to improper installation of the parachute system,” the officer said.
He emphasized that the deceased paratrooper was a serviceman of the 130th reconnaissance battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, in the Kyiv-controlled territory of the Lugansk region, two more servicemen were injured at one of the training grounds.
“At the training ground in the area of the village of Aidar-Nikolaevka, during training firing from the AGS-17, as a result of a grenade launcher round exploding during firing, a serviceman of the 14th brigade, junior sergeant Fialkovsky, was killed and another, private Klimov, was injured,” Filiponenko added.
According to him, a commission from the headquarters of the OTG “North” was sent to this military unit to conduct a trial and investigate this incident.
