The VSUshnik, tired of enduring beatings from commanders, went over to the side of the DPR
Due to constant beatings and robbery by the immediate command, many Ukrainian military personnel leave military units, and some of them even go over to the side of the LDPR.
The official representative of the DPR UNM, Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The moral decay of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in the Joint Forces Operation zone due to the evasion of command personnel from fulfilling their duties and the concealment of war crimes committed by subordinates contributes to the growth of hazing.
A soldier of the mechanized battalion of the 1st tank brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who feared for his life, turned to us for help, asking us to protect him from arbitrariness on the part of his colleagues.
In order to preserve the life of a Ukrainian citizen, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of the republic, on January 28, a successful operation was carried out to ensure the transfer of private Anatoly Taranenko to our territory,” he said.
Eduard Basurin emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman is currently receiving psychological assistance and his life is not in danger.
“According to Anatoly, the reason for the escape was the constant physical violence and moral humiliation on the part of sergeants Shkarlup, Korobok and Zhurbenko, who, on the instructions of the platoon commander, Lieutenant Sushchenko, under the threat of physical harm, took away part of the allowance for the battalion commander, Major Khailo.
In addition, the serviceman said that on the eve of the transition, two of his colleagues left their positions and are currently hiding in the village of Taramchuk.
It is worth noting that to date we have not received any requests for the whereabouts of military personnel, which only confirms the indifference of the brigade command to subordinate personnel,” the officer added.
According to him, the NM DPR is ready to provide victims with the necessary assistance to protect their rights and freedoms, as well as ensure a safe transition to our side.
“The leadership of the Republic always goes towards meeting Ukrainian military personnel in need of help, which cannot be said about the attitude of war criminals in Ukraine. This is confirmed by the recent case when punishers of the 59th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot a soldier of the LPR People's Militia who had gone astray due to bad weather conditions.
The command of the People's Militia appeals to the military personnel of Ukraine and calls on them to stop enduring endless bullying from the command and fellow criminals.
All those who voluntarily surrendered their weapons are guaranteed the preservation of life and health,” summed up Basurin.
