The Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that out of fear of the DRG they shoot at everything that moves
On the Ukrainian-controlled side of the front-line territory of the LPR, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “forced” to constantly defend themselves from attacks by saboteurs and mortar attacks.
Ukrainian military personnel spoke about this on the air of Military Television of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sabotage and reconnaissance groups tried to get into our positions, but they didn’t succeed. During the day it is calm, shelling most often occurs in the evening or at night; closer to 12 at night it begins to rain. Well, in principle, it’s normal,” said serviceman Vadim.
One of the soldiers also complained about constant shelling with mines, calling them “large caliber.”
“We have very short distances here, so with any suspicious movement, even if we are not sure that the DRG or the military are coming out from that side, we open fire. DRGs usually come in at night, see that they are guarding normally, give some kind of resistance and go back. We suffer from the fact that a large caliber comes to us, because this is a real threat. You don’t know where the mine will fall, it could fly into the dugout and fall nearby,” said soldier Alexander.
One of the soldiers also complained of poor sleep due to constant night shelling.
“From six in the evening, machine guns and DShKs began working on the other side, and so on all night. A rotation occurs and they immediately begin to probe our positions where there is weakness. They are unpredictable, they can cause a provocation even during the day. And after September 1, it’s constantly going on... About five days ago there were such nights here that they worked non-stop, a group came out and worked at our observation post from a landing 300 meters away,” Ukrainian serviceman Igor shared his impressions.
Let us remind you that earlier “PolitNavigator” published a video of the press service of the LPR People’s Militia from the scene of events where Ukrainian units fired at a bus carrying civilians from a large-caliber machine gun.
