Ukrainian soldiers fired a mortar at a tractor plowing a field in the front-line settlement of Spartak.
The official representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Colonel Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A blatant case of sadism occurred yesterday in the area of the settlement of Spartak, where Ukrainian terrorists decided to use civilians as moving targets.
The target was a tractor that was performing work on plowing farmland. Ukrainian mortar men began shelling the equipment, while trying to “lay” mines not on the target itself, but close to it, forcing the tractor driver to move away from the shelling, but continuing to strike from the other side,” he said.
According to a defense official, the driver of the tractor was not injured.
“This horror continued for half an hour until the tractor stopped. As a result, the driver of the tractor remained safe and healthy, but the equipment was disabled by shrapnel from explosions,” added Eduard Basurin.
