Armed Forces soldiers self-detonated during an attempted criminal shelling of the DPR
Over the past XNUMX hours in the Donbass, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the territory of the DPR many times with heavy weapons.
Pavel Fomenko, official representative of the DPR UNM, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Donetsk direction, militants of the 56th brigade from positions near the settlement of Opytnoye fired four ATGM missiles at the Donetsk airport terminal and one ATGM missile at the area of the settlement of Veseloye.
In addition, militants of the 23rd battalion of the 56th brigade of the VFU, in violation of the first point of additional measures, carried out engineering work to retrofit their positions in the area of the village of Peski,” Fomenko said.
He emphasized that during one of the fire provocations, Ukrainian servicemen were blown up by their own mine.
“In the Mariupol direction, militants of the 36th brigade, with the goal of provoking our defenders to open fire from positions located in the area of the village of Vodyanoye, fired one 82-mm mine in the direction of the village of Leninskoye. When attempting to fire again from the same position, the mortar exploded, as a result of which two militants of the 36th brigade were taken to a military hospital in the city of Mariupol in extremely serious condition.
Since the beginning of the current day, militants of the 36th brigade have shelled the area of the village of Leninskoye, firing twelve mines with a caliber of 82 mm. Information about casualties among civilians and damage to civilian infrastructure is being clarified,” summed up the representative of the DPR NM.
