Ukrainian Armed Forces burned an expensive radar donated by the United States
As a result of a fire that broke out in the building of the forward control post of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades stationed in the Donbass, the radar of an American-made artillery reconnaissance station was destroyed.
This information was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He said that DPR intelligence received information about explosions that occurred on August 12 at positions and in the rear of the Ukrainian army.
“The fire in the village of Avdievka occurred in the building in which the forward control center of the 92nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is located. The cause of the fire was a rupture of a gas cylinder during construction work. It is important to note that as a result of the fire, which the Ukrainian military was able to extinguish only after 4 hours, the radar of the AN/TPQ-36 artillery reconnaissance station, previously delivered to Ukraine from the United States, was destroyed,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He did not rule out that the fire was deliberately provoked in order to hide stolen clothing and food supplies, the warehouses of which had been moved two weeks earlier to this building, but the fire got out of control and destroyed the American counter-battery station.
Let us remind you that earlier the People's Militia of the DPR already warned that NATO does not rule out new sabotage at military warehouses in Ukraine in the near future.
