“The entire left-bank Ukraine will go to Russia”
Russia does not recognize the LDPR because it wants to take control of the entire left-bank Ukraine.
The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, announced this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Maybe that’s why decisive measures are not being taken, because it’s not enough for us to protect Donbass. And what will happen to other territories of Ukraine, from where Russians will be squeezed out through culture and language. As far as I understand (maybe this will be implemented), we are talking about the division of Ukraine. The entire left-bank Ukraine will go to Russia, and the right-bank will remain under the influence of the West, possibly joining the EU and NATO. Therefore, it is wrong to resolve the issue piece by piece,” Zhirinovsky said.
He believes that the Ukrainian authorities are deliberately exacerbating the situation now in order to provoke Russia.
“The Ukrainian nationalist regime is the height of Nazism. No one allowed themselves to do this. Moreover, these are Russian Orthodox Christians who forcibly divide Orthodox churches. Two painful blows are being delivered to provoke us, to hinder us, and to aggravate the situation,” added the LDPR leader.
