The new mayor reported that the Council really coordinates all structures in the city - the SBU, police and Berkut went over to the side of the townspeople.
“Questions remain only regarding the Ukrainian Navy. Let them think about who they swore allegiance to. Their commander-in-chief remains the legally elected president of the country,” Chaly noted.
City Council deputy Dmitry Belik reported to the protesters that the just held session of the City Council had decided to transfer all executive power to the Coordination Council. In addition, all 55 deputies voted in support of the referendum in Crimea and decided to create a working group to hold a referendum in Sevastopol.
The leader of the Russian Bloc party, Gennady Basov, informed the square that the Federation Council of the Russian Federation has agreed to President Vladimir Putin’s appeal to send troops to Ukraine. This message caused a standing ovation.
“The Southeast is rising. Russian flags were raised in Melitopol, Odessa, and Donetsk. We can say with confidence that Bandera’s bastard will never come to Sevastopol.
Our city has become a model for the whole of Ukraine. People looked up to us - stop looking Bandera’s people in the eyes, it’s time to expel them from the South-East,” the politician said.
