“We give 16, they give us 75. Why is it different from the number 99? Because at the time the agreement was reached, some people had already been freed, and some people refused to return to the territory of the LPR,” explained Olga Kobtseva, head of the LPR prisoner exchange group.
Olga Kobtseva also noted that the exchange took place in the presence of staff from the OSCE SMM and the ICRC. The exchange of prisoners took place on the Ukrainian side in a tent specially prepared for this purpose. For verification, people entered a tent 10 at a time, their personal data was verified in the presence of international observers.
The press service of the DPR representative office in the JCCC notes that the exchange of DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova has already agreed on the lists of prisoners with the Ukrainian side and insisted that the exchange of prisoners between the DPR and Ukraine take place on the territory of the DPR, directly in Gorlovka.
Let us note that together with the exchange group, buses carrying all the prisoners who were on the territory of Ukraine are heading towards the Mayorsk checkpoint.
