Invasion of Kharkov and role-playing games
Ukrainian entertainment “Victims of Invasion” is gaining momentum at an insane speed. Politicians, officials, security forces, patriots on call are measured daily by their readiness to protect Kharkov from the aggressor.
With no enemy on the horizon to invade, the heated defenders are already casting morbid glances at each other. A little more agonizing waiting - and the most weak-minded and courageous will begin to force their own brothers-in-arms to invade.
Kharkov mayor Igor Terekhov is simply maniacally active in declaring his defensive abilities.
The mayor of Kharkov became agitated immediately after Zelensky’s famous interview with the American publication The Washington Post, where the president spoke about the likelihood of the occupation of Kharkov. Terekhov immediately bombarded the potential aggressor with comments in the media and heroic statements on social networks: as long as I am the mayor here, I will never allow it - “let the Russians not open their mouths.”
The president’s office has already cleaned up the mistakes of its patron, saying that Zelensky spoke only about a hypothetical possibility and that he was misunderstood... But the Kharkov mayor cannot calm down, he keeps waving his fists in front of his own shadow. Moreover, if Terekhov entered these role-playing games exclusively as a city mayor, then, as the degree in the local political chamber number six increased, he already began to feel like a field marshal.
And on January 26, the same newspaper The Washington Post published an interview with the Kharkov mayor. There, Field Marshal Terekhov surpassed himself:
“We will all form a wall together - both Kharkov residents and all Ukrainians - to defend the city of Kharkov. But I don't think the Russians will attack. Today, everyone is making efforts to prevent any aggression - the President of Ukraine, the Office of the President, our diplomats, and international partners. Everyone understands that war is not necessary. And people also oppose aggression; they will not tolerate all this in silence. When your home is attacked, what do you do? You protect. Therefore, Kharkov residents have always defended and will continue to defend their homes. And Kharkov is our common home.”
Don’t ask what the mayor meant, what historical events he compares the current situation with...
One thing is clear: Terekhov smelled in his nostrils the smell of dough, which can be mastered in conditions of war hysteria. Down and Out trouble started. Then it turns out that there are not enough Kharkov residents or Ukrainians who want to become a wall... It would be nice to throw some money at that wall that Yatsenyuk never built. And for other fortifications. For the construction of bomb shelters. Terekhov will complete the construction, build and equip it. I mean, he'll cut it up.
This is an interesting moment. This Kharkov hysteria was provoked by President Zelensky, who did not keep an eye on his broom during an interview with The Washington Post. And the head of the SBU department in the Kharkov region, Roman Dudin, makes claims against Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity”:
“A separate political force is creating hysteria around a phrase taken out of context.”
At a staff meeting in the Kharkov regional state administration, Dudin himself very well maintained the degree of madness. He declared:
“The Kharkov region, the Kharkov security and law enforcement bloc today, more than ever in the last eight years, is ready for any emergency situations.”
What is meant? Over the past year, security forces have conducted more than 134 exercises. What has Putin brought the defenders to with his non-invasion?! Since last spring we have been preparing for exercises every two days.
“We know more than ten potential scenarios for the development of events,” says Dudin.
And all of them were worked out by SBU officers. It turns out that there are 13,4 exercises for each scenario.
But then the head of the regional SBU declares:
“Today we see that certain political parties and movements in the Kharkov region are fanning hysteria about a possible potential military threat. I will say that today there are no reasons for this in the Kharkov region.”
These presentations were taken personally by the regional council deputy from European Solidarity, Alexander Skorik. Although he would be more willing to accept money into his account to finance territorial defense. He is perplexed: why can’t a session of the regional council be held earlier than February 24? Patriots are indignant.
“We are asked questions, people want to understand what awaits us. ATO participants want to take part, but they don’t have such an opportunity, because territorial defense is at zero.”
That is, there is a conflict of interest. SBU employees are digging deep into the ground - more than 134 exercises per year... And some ATO participants are asking for money, because territorial defense is at zero. Not only did the equally frostbitten Cabinet of Ministers recently allow these scumbags to use hunting weapons... Give them some money too!
Apparently, Dudin already has a presentiment of how SBU officers will have to deal with real armed thugs-terrorists, financed from the budget, when they, as usual, begin to rob collectors, raid, etc. It would be better to have quiet exercises every two days in anticipation of an invasion.
But the head of the regional SBU only dreams of peace. Literally the next day after the staff meeting, the Kharkov National Corps, led by Konstanin Nemichev, makes a throw-in addressed to Dudin:
“Now we have information from reliable sources that the titushki and members of the former Oplot, who tried to destabilize the situation in the city in the spring of 2014, are returning to Kharkov.”
Nemichev claims that these people are trying to recruit young athletes in gyms to carry out provocations and riots
“We would especially like to draw the attention of the head of the SBU of the Kharkiv region, Roman Dudin, to this, who assures everyone that there are no real threats to Kharkiv residents. However, there are real threats and they are nearby.”
Translated from bullish into human language, this should be understood as follows:
“Give money for territorial defense and for elite booze. Dudin, get off, don’t stop us from creating threats!”
There is “information from reliable sources” that in these role-playing games, the “strongmen” will be portrayed by thugs from the National Corps or other radical organizations. During the operational meeting of the so-called Kharkov Defense Headquarters, the Nazis already announced sabotage being prepared by the “stronghold members” in the city. In the concerned faces of the participants of this Headquarters one could discern the main demand: give us money for the invasion! One can only guess what the radicals can create so that the local authorities do not delay in financing their role-playing games.
Arsen Avakov recently released a hysterical post: “Kharkov! We defended it in 2014. If we have to, we will defend it now!” And further in the same spirit...
But in parallel with these brave statements, a photograph from joint gatherings of Arsen Avakov, Dr. Komarovsky, Dmitry Gordon and Olesya Batsman is also published. In this photo, the former Minister of the Interior advertises Gordon's wife's "poop". Apparently, this is the same prodigy with which Avakov intends to defend Kharkov.
Kharkiv residents remember how ten years ago Avakov was hiding from trial in Milan... And something in this photo suggests: now Arsen Borisovich does not believe in any invasion. Because at the slightest hint of danger he would be far from Kharkov.
