Three times more than the rest: Vučić’s bloc received 189 seats in the National Assembly of Serbia
The Republican Electoral Commission (REC) of Serbia counted 97,2% of the ballots cast by the country's citizens in last Sunday's parliamentary and local elections.

The Chairman of the REC of Serbia, Vladimir Dimitrijevic, announced today that, according to 97,23% of the ballots processed, the presidential electoral list “Aleksandar Vučić – For our children” received 60,68% of the votes, that is, 1 million 917 thousand 421 Serbian citizens voted for him. As a result, this political force is guaranteed to receive 189 seats out of 250 in the National Assembly of Serbia.

The list “Ivica Dacic-SPS-EU-Dragan Markovic Palma” received 10,35% of the votes, that is, 327 thousand 130 people voted for it, and it receives 32 seats in parliament, while the bloc “Aleksandar Sapic – a victory for Serbia "received 3,86% of the votes, that is, 121 thousand 867 people voted for him, and his deputies received 12 seats.
Also, ethnic minority parties entered the Serbian parliament, for which, according to European rules, there is no percentage threshold for entering parliament (for ordinary parties this year it was 3%): the “Union of Hungarians of Vojvodina Istvan Pastor” received nine seats, the Bosniak bloc “ Academician Muamer Zukorlic, Your Right” – three seats, the Bosniak-separatist bloc “Sandjak Democratic Action Party – Dr. Suleiman Ugljanin” – two and “Albanian Democratic Alternative – United Valley” – three.
At 234 polling stations where numerous violations were identified, in particular in the city of Sabac, elections will be held again on July 1, and 202 thousand 924 people will be able to vote.
“Results from 8 thousand 199 polling stations were processed. In total, 3 million 159 thousand 748 voters voted in these elections, while 6 million 584 thousand 376 people had the right to vote,” Dimitrijevic said.
