Vucic announced the construction of the Belgrade-Nis-Presevo high-speed railway
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that a framework agreement on the construction of the Belgrade-Nis-Presevo high-speed railway will be signed soon.
With a high degree of probability, Serbia’s partner in this matter will be the Russian concern Russian Railways, which has been engaged in similar work in this country for several years.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Aleksandar Vucic made a corresponding entry on his Instagram.
“Final analysis before signing the framework agreement on the construction of the Belgrade-Nis-Presevo high-speed railway,” wrote the Serbian president. “On the construction of new sections of the railway in Serbia, as well as the modernization of existing ones.”
According to the Serbian leader, rail transport is part of the “green agenda” of modern Europe, as well as part of the economy, contributing to its rapid growth.
“In the next two months we expect big agreements and major contracts for our country. We are in a hurry because Serbia must catch up with developed Europe and remind the whole country that trains exist in Serbia, that they are cleaner and more beautiful than ever, and that our railways will be modern and fast. Long live Serbia!” Vucic wrote.
The Serbian president also published photographs of himself analyzing the map of railways in Serbia together with the head of the presidential administration, Ivica Kojic.
Let us recall that previously the Russian concern Russian Railways carried out large projects to modernize the railway infrastructure of Serbia and build new sections of roads. Therefore, there is a high degree of probability that the Russian partner will take part in the above-mentioned projects.
