Vucic: If Putin had decided, Yugoslavia would not have been bombed
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal contribution to relations between the two countries.
He stated this today at a press conference in Sochi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am grateful to him for everything he has done for Serbia in the past. We in Serbia value Putin more than any previous leaders. Let the Russians not be angry with us for this. We believe that if Putin had decided in ’99, then no one would have bombed us,” Vucic said.
He believes that Putin saved Serbia in 2015 “from the shameful stigma of a country that committed genocide in the UN Security Council.”
“There are no documents directed against the interests of Serbia for which Russia would vote. But there is also not a single document for which Serbia would vote, and there, God forbid, there would be something against the interests of the Russian Federation,” Vucic said.
Thank you!
