During the meeting between Vucic and Bocan-Harchenko, special attention was paid to the disturbing news from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interlocutors came to the general conclusion that the international community should make every effort to achieve peace and stability in this country, and not undermine the situation in it.

The President and Ambassador also said that Serbia and Russia have confirmed a high degree of bilateral cooperation in the past period, despite the difficulties caused by the coronavirus epidemic. Therefore, the parties expressed hope that in the coming period there will be an increase in trade, the completion of current and the launch of new joint energy and infrastructure projects, as well as further strengthening of cooperation in the field of technological development and innovation.

It was also noted that in the near future the Russian Railways company will lay the last sections of the Belgrade-Novi Sad railway, and Aleksandar Vucic emphasized that this project will make significant changes to the functioning of railway communication in Serbia.

Let us recall that the decision of Valentin Inzko, who resigned from his post at the end of July as the High Representative for BiH, to introduce criminal liability for denying the fake “genocide in Srebrenica” provoked a powerful conflict within the country: the Bosnian Serbs refused to recognize his successor without the consent of the UN Security Council, and announced a boycott of all bodies The state authorities of BiH, the Republika Srpska, introduced criminal liability for any attempt to impose the label of “genocidal entity” on the Serbian entity and its population.
