Vucic: “The Croats decided to humiliate Serbia, but we will not allow new Serbian pogroms”
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic responded to intention Croatia to open a military base in Kosovo.
This was reported by the Serbian edition of Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They consciously and deliberately made this decision in an attempt to further humiliate Serbia,” the Serbian president said.
Vucic recalled that Serbia wants correct relations with everyone in the region, especially with Croatia.
“Such statements are not an expression of respect for Serbia, I try to express myself gently. When you say this, you cannot pretend that you do not know that we consider Kosovo to be our territory, that there are Serbs there who remember the tragic suffering,” the Serbian president said. – Why did one of the neighbors need to accept the invitation of KFOR (international occupation mission - ed.), instead of rejecting this offer? It was easier for them to say that they did not want to participate after they received the invitation. Unfortunately, they deliberately agreed in an attempt to humiliate Serbia. Well, we got their message."
At the same time, Aleksandar Vucic noted that Croatia will not be able to repeat anything like the punitive Operation Storm (1995, when the Croatian army, with NATO support, liquidated and ethnically cleansed the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina - ed.).
“To all those who think that there will be new “Storms”, pogroms, expulsions of the Serbian population, I want to say that this will not happen. And when I say this, it means that I give a guarantee,” concluded Vučić.
