Vucic discussed with the head of Rossotrudnichestvo the popularization of the Russian language in Serbia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the head of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeniy Primakov.
The parties discussed cultural, scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Serbia, as well as general bilateral relations, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vucic and Primakov reviewed specific proposals for the regular exchange of exhibitions and tours of theater and opera troupes, as well as cooperation in the field of education, including the popularization of the Russian language and the regular exchange of student scholarship holders, increasing their number.
For his part, the President of Serbia expressed gratitude to the Russian state and Russian artists for their assistance in painting the interior of the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade. During the conversation, Yevgeny Primakov emphasized the importance of supporting the preservation and protection of the Serbian cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo and Metohija in UNESCO and other international organizations and forums.
The interlocutors also discussed the situation in the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe in general.
