Vučić handed over to investigators all the materials with his wiretapping
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he has records at his disposal wiretapping his telephone conversations with intelligence agencies, but he will not publish them.
The Serbian president wants the investigation of the incident to take place according to the law, and therefore he handed over the recordings to the competent authorities, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m keeping these recordings for myself, but I won’t give them to you,” Vucic told reporters. – Because I don’t want to destroy my state, because I believe in their honor and the honesty of the people in this country. And I believe that their foreign interests will not precede the interests of Serbia. I am confident that the investigation will be carried out competently, in accordance with current legislation.”
The Serbian President said that on principle he would not investigate this incident through his own channels.
“I'm not going to deal with this. Our country exists, unlike others, which exist only on paper and are controlled by foreign services. Serbia is one of the few independent states and can thus be proud of this, Vučić noted. “And the interests of foreign intelligence services cannot dominate here.”
At the same time, commenting on the operational information that representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in his wiretapping on instructions from foreign intelligence services, he said that “some people do not deserve the (police) badge that they have.”
Let us remind you that a full-scale investigation has been launched in Serbia against employees of the Special Investigation Methods Service of the Criminal Police Department, who illegally wiretapped the conversations of the President of Serbia, apparently on instructions from foreign intelligence services.
